Dr. Atul Agarwala, MD

Dr. Atul K. Agarwala, received his medical degree from Far Eastern University Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Philippines (1987) and later completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Harlem Hospital Center, New York (1989-1992). He then went on to complete his Residency in Ophthalmology at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia Campus, 1992 - 1995). Unlike most Ophthalmologist, he is also certified in Internal Medicine. His understanding of medical diseases and their impact on the eyes and visa-versa is impressive. He has picked up patient that needed cardiac stents by looking at the circulation in the eye. He personally examines all patients and treats common vision disorders, eye injuries and diseases.

    Thomas Kincade

    Thomas Kincade, MD received his undergraduate training at Princeton University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with High Honors in 1972. He attended the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he received his MD degree in 1976. He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. He completed psychiatric residency training in 1980, and maintained a private psychiatric practice for three years before entering the specialty of Ophthalmology. Thomas Kincade received his ophthalmologic training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He has been practicing ophthalmology in a private practice setting for more than 35 years. His experience in the field of psychiatry has enabled him to be particularly sensitive to the emotional needs and concerns of his patients with serious ocular disorders. Thomas Kincade is also a highly experienced in the field of aerospace medicine. He trained at the Mayo Clinic, and he is also a graduate of the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine. He served for many years in the United States Air Force as a Flight Surgeon, providing specialized medical and ophthalmologic care to Air Force flight crews. He is also a Federal Aviation Agency-designated Aviation Medical Examiner, and he conducts examinations of both airline pilots and general aviation pilots for FAA. Thomas Kincade is himself, a FAA-certified commercial pilot and a flight instructor pilot with thousands of hours of flying experience. He has flown airliners, corporate jets, as well as military jet fighter aircrafts.

      Dr, Dean Cummins, MD

      Dr. Dean Cummins, completed his undergraduate at Harvard College. He obtained a MS (Philosophy) & PhD (Neurophysiology) at Yale University (1979-1983). In 1988, he obtained his Medical Degree from Tufts School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine the following year at Faulkner Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Cummins then returned to Yale for Ophthalmology training at the Yale Eye Center, which he concluded in 1993. In 1994, he joined Joslin Diabetes Center at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School to complete a fellowship in Medical Retina. His specialty areas are diabetic eye problems & macular degeneration.

        Dr. Alejandro Bevacqua, MD

        Dr. Alejandro Bevacqua got his undergraduate degree from the SUNY at Binghamton in 1989 and his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1994. After medical school, he completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Nassau County Medical Center in New York where he trained in medicine and surgery of the eyes and served as chief resident. Dr. Bevacqua is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been in practice since 1998 specializing in medicine and surgery of the eyes. Dr. Bevacqua performs surgeries including no-stitch cataract surgery and custom cornea LASIK. Dr. Bevacqua has personally performed thousands of surgical and refractive procedures.

          Shira Goldberg, OD has been practicing optometry in New Jersey for the past 20 years. She graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2003 (SALUS University) and completed a residency in Cornea & Refractive disease at the Northeastern Eye Institute in 2004. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry. She lives in Westfield, NJ with her husband and two children and is passionate about practicing Optometry.

            Shira Goldberg, OD

            Sukrana Uddin is the newest optometrist in our practice. After completing her undergrad study in Biology at Columbia University in 2019, Sukrana graduated magna cum laude from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (SALUS UNIVERSITY), with OD degree in 2023. She completed an externship at the Salisbury Veteran's Affairs Hospital in NC gaining knowledge in managing ocular disease such as anterior segment disease, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She achieved clinical honors in all her externship rotations. Sukrana also enjoys fitting contact lenses including specialty hard lenses. She is a member of the AOA and NJ Optometric Association.
